ICYMI, we have the first 2 EPs available together on one CD, and they are for sale on our bandcamp page, although be aware that if you can catch us at a show you can get the CD totally free from us there. Or the other option is just stream or download the songs for totesfree on bandcamp.
Here's some of the history, if you're interested-
"Meet my cat" - the first EP, released in Fall 2014. The prior year I had basically recorded a dozen or so crude demos in my apartment on my ipad and computer, just to be able to lock down and remember how the songs went as I wrote them. Some of them I thought were kinda interesting and kept adding embellishments - lead guitar parts, makeshift percussion, etc. (This was all well before Jil ever thought about picking up a drumstick.) Then at some point I wanted to have some recorded material to share with people, so I pulled together a few of my favorites, recorded a couple new things, and sorta polished whatever was there to polish. "Polished" isn't really the right word at all, since I've never had any idea what I am doing. But either way, to me the recordings managed to capture this lo-fi charm that I really liked, warts and all. It's cool at least as a snapshot, since these songs will never sound exactly this way again.
"Arsenaultilus" - the second EP, released in Fall 2015. These recordings are interesting to me because they represent all different facets of the transition from the Together on Two "v0.1" to "v1.0". The first song "Arsenaultilus" was a previously recorded demo (same era as "Meet My Cat EP") that I was unsatisfied with so re-recorded from scratch. The second track "K.O." was a brand new song. Track 3, "Comic Book Girl" was another "v0.1" era demo that seemed quirky enough to just put out there basically as is. The final track, "She's Right" is a cover from this amazing LA girl group called Kissing Cousins that I wanted to record because I basically have a big crush on them. And on this song we have Jilian appearing on drums and background vocals for the first time. With that, we had officially evolved from a lonely solo project to a dynamic duo.
